What is the Super Y-league?
The Super Y-League is a professionalized system that is the first step for developing youth soccer players in North America. Affiliated with US Soccer and partnered with US Club Soccer, the league is designed for talented youth players to develop their game over the summer months.
Which Clubs compete in the Super Y-League?
Over 100 clubs throughout North America compete annually for a Continental Championship. This year, Northern Virginia Majestics-Springfield will participate in the Mid Atlantic Division.
When does the Super Y-League season run?
The season consists of approximately 8 - 12 games. The majority of games are played from June to August, with the North American Finals being held the second week of December held in Florida.
What are the age brackets for the Super Y-League?
Northern Virginia Majestics-Springfield will be hosting teams in the following age groups: BOYS & GIRLS: U11, U12, U13, U14, U15. The Super Y-League will use the USSF Soccer (Birth Year, Fall 2022). IE- 2012- U11, 2011-U12, 2010-U13, 2009- U14, 2008- U15. Participants will register for their rising age group that they will play in Fall 2022. Depending on our tryout pool, there could be two teams per age group selected, players to be asked to play up a year or an entire team to play up a year. Those decisions will be made by our coaching staff after tryouts.

How many players will be selected for each Super Y-League team?
Each team will carry a roster between 16 - 20 players. For the game day roster, the teams will carry 18-players. Also, depending on the player pool, the coaching staff may opt to play players a year up, thus exposing them to stronger competition. This will help our players play smarter and improve their individual and collective speed of play. For the U11 & U12 teams, the roster size will be between 15 – 20 players. U11’s and U12’s will be playing 9v9 and U13’s and older will play 11v11.
What is the commitment?
Training will start in the middle of June and continue through the first week in August. Ideally, practices will be at least twice a week, but based upon age of team and league schedule, will be at the discretion of the coach. Please expect to have an away game that travel is outside of the Northern Virginia area. ***IMPORTANT*** If your team wins the summer season division, they will be expected to represent the division in the Super Y Finals which are play in Tampa, Florida during the second week of December. Team of about 15 players will be selected by the team’s coach to represent the group in the Super Y Finals.
What if Super Y-League conflicts with the club team?
By design, the program is not to compete with the club teams, but rather complement them. In the case of a conflict, the player will be encouraged to go to their respective club’s activity; however, the final decision lies with the player and parent.
Where will the teams train and play home games?
All training and games will take place in the Springfield area.
Who will coach and train the teams?

What uniforms will the Super Y-League teams use?
Super Y-League uniforms are included in the player’s fees. Each player will receive a uniform kit. It includes: 2 game shirts, 1 game short, 2 game socks.
How much is the Super Y League fee?
The Super Y fee for the 2022 summer season is $675. The fee will cover the following: coaching fees, player uniforms, field rental fees, team equipment, referee game fee, referee assignor fee, league registration fee, insurance, club registrar, website manager, and regional administration. The fee will also cover a 3 day, 2hour camp for all Super Y participants. Mini-camp Time/Dates TBD during summer. Our participants will also be recommended to Super Y National ID camp. Payment Schedule: Deposit to be paid once invited to participate $375, 2nd installment is due April 1- Second Installment-$300.
